About Justin

Originally from Kansas City, Justin Begnaud is a Los Angeles-based independent producer. He recently produced Ana Lily Amirpour’s debut feature, “A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT,” which world premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, and was nominated for a Gotham Award and three Independent Spirit Awards. He was also the Associate Producer for William Saunders' feature documentary "BILLY MIZE & THE BAKERSFIELD SOUND", which world premiered at the 2014 Los Angeles Film Festival. Mr. Begnaud is a Fellow at the IFP/ Cannes Producer Network, and was a Producing Fellow at the 2014 Berlin Talent Campus, as well as the 2014 Film Independent Producing Lab, both of which were for his next project, Anthony Onah’s “DARA JU”.

Previously, Mr. Begnaud was Vice President at Grosvenor Park Media, and was the Director of Production for the completion guarantor Film Finances, Inc. Prior to working in film, Mr. Begnaud was a television producer and worked on TV documentaries & non-fiction series for A&E Networks, AMC Networks, MTV Networks and NBC Universal. He began his film career working for Scott Rudin Productions, and wrote grants for the Tribeca Film Institute and the Museum of Modern Art while living in New York City.

Mr. Begnaud holds a M.F.A. from the UCLA Graduate School of Theater, Film & Television, a M.S. in Fundraising Management & Nonprofit Administration from Columbia University in New York, and a B.F.A./B.I.D. from Syracuse University. He is an active member of the Producers Guild of America, the International Film & Television Alliance, and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
