Nelson J.J. Flores was born and raised in New York City and has studied and practiced filmmaking and cinematography for about five years now. Having graduated with a Bachelors in Media Arts from Long Island University, and now having a Master’s Degree from New York Film Academy in Cinematography, Nelson grows as a Director of Photography here in Los Angeles, CA.
He has been a cinematographer for films internationally in the Dominican Republic, and locally in the United States. Nelson has worked on various short films, as well as commercials, websisodes, and features. He has also submtted his work to festivals, two of which have been official selections. One had been selected in the Big Mini Media Festival in Brooklyn, New York on November of 2014, and another was accepted to the M.A.C Film Festival in Amazonas, Brazil onn August of 2015.
He currently works as a Self Employed Director of Photography as well as a Gaffer in Los Angeles, and continues to work in order to improve his craft and hopefully reach his goal to join the Local 600.
