I have been writing and composing original musical theatre titles since 1980 and standard straight comedy plays since 1988. My current collaborator is the brilliant John D. Nugent. We have been writing together for the last nine years. Currently, I am the co-author and co-composer of fifty-three original musicals and fifteen comedy plays. In the last thirty years I have composed or co-composed 1,383 songs, themes, overtures and jingles. I studied comedy writing for five years with the late great Danny Simon (older brother of Neil) I have had produced about sixteen shows over the years at various theatres.
