I'm the writer and producer of H-Town 'the movie' (sports drama), and also play the role of an agent assistant. H-Town has several components that make the film unique.
The characters confront and attempt to overcome the hardships, trials and tribulations that most evacuees endured during life after Hurricane Katrina. H-Town 'the movie' also gives a unique perspective into the sports world. The film is narrated through the fictional life of an aspiring sports agent, in addition to being inspired by chronicled stories of young athletes from New Orleans who lost everything and persevered against all odds to make it to the professional ranks. I personally have been in the sports and entertainment arena for over fifteen years as a sports agent, making the perspective of the events in H-Town all the more true to form.
I wrote this story because it was something dear to my heart, but I also wrote it knowing that many people could relate. What makes this project so special right now, this year, is the fact that 2015 is the 10-year anniversary of Katrina. What better year to shoot this film, and tell an inspired story about people from the gulf region who survived the worst natural disaster in US history, and fought to be even better. H-Town will showcase a plot of ‘déjà vu like never before’ that is breathtaking, and one that will captivate a diverse audience. Please check out the concept trailer:
