Andrew Genser is a writer-producer with over 14 years’ experience writing in TV/Streaming/Film. While currently he is a producer on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," previously he spent 5 years writing on E! Network’s long-running comedy show, “The Soup,” ending his tenure there as Co-EP. Other highlights in the comedy/variety arena include writing for Netflix’s pop culture comedy show, “The Joel McHale Show”; writing for the “2014 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner”; serving as Executive Producer/Co-Showrunner on a comedy gameshow pilot for Lionsgate and MTV; working with Kevin Hart as a producer on Kevin’s series, “Kevin Hart: Lyft Legend”; many more credits upon request.
On the narrative side, Andrew co-created/wrote a half-hour comedy about infamous British cult leader, Aleister Crowley, which Brian Yorkey (creator of “13 Reasons Why”) and his prod co. “That Kid Ed” were attached to produce (they are no longer attached, and that project is now being considered by Abominable Pictures). Currently Andrew is developing a half-hour series he co-created to which Joel McHale is attached. Andrew also co-wrote the feature film, “Stomping Ground,” which played at festivals across the country and won a special jury award at the Indie Memphis Film Festival.
Andrew has previously developed, written and pitched half-hour scripted projects around town with producers/talent like Joel McHale, Howie Mandel, Brian Yorkey and KP Anderson.
