About Mark

Mark Cross began his journey on the mean streets of Chicago. Cross fought his way out of this oppressive environment on a full scholarship to Abilene Christian (A.C.U.), choosing this school above fifty scholarship offers from various major universities across the nation. Here, the seed was planted for Mark to eventually earn a spot on the U.S. Olympic Track & Field team.

While reaching Olympic heights, Cross founded a Visual Effects Studio in Houston, Texas. The studio featured 2D and 3D digital effects, utilizing industry leading software, such as Alias Power Animator, Maya, and Softimage.

Because of his expertise in 3D animation, Cross soon moved to Orlando, Florida to join Walt Disney as a senior animator. He created and directed 2D and 3D animations for commericals, television and film projects. Clients included Hard Rock Café, FOX television, Time Warner, Splash Town USA, Shell Oil, and Disney Cruise Lines. Mark not only designed and directed Disney Cruise Line spots; he animated and created all of the 3D elements for the commercials.

Cross won a prestigious Telly Award for Best Public Service Announcement (PSA) that he wrote, directed, and produced. The commercial, called, “The Rock,” was a PSA for The Partnership for a Drug-Free America.
Cross is no stranger to suspense and drama films. He made his directorial debut with the thriller “Sutures.” Cross is currently directing the thriller, “Black” and is in development and preproduction on several feature film and television projects, including the feature, “We are Champions” and television Sci-fi thrillers “These Last Days” and “Frequenci's Paranormal Adventures.”
