Lleeya Sherrod

As a California native, Lleeya spent most of her childhood in the San Fernando Valley. She studied Communications and Film at the University of California, Davis. Then went on to earn a Master's in Media Studies from The New School University in Manhattan, New York. Since then, she has spent the last decade working in the entertainment industry, starting in New York as an intern at MTV, editing promos and assisting on shoots. She later moved back to Los Angeles, where she was a freelance production assistant on several reality tv shows. Her favorite show to work on was Celebrity Marriage Bootcamp because there was always real drama on the set. Not much had to be faked. She moved up to a coordinator position working on sets and projects for Warner Horizon Television, managing projects for shows like The Bachelor and Deon Cole’s Black Box. After a while, Lleeya found the niche world of content distribution and learned the ins and outs of film and television finance, marketing, and development. This led to positions on teams distributing popular content such as Loving Vincent and Untold Stories of the ER. This also paved the way for her to collaborate with industry executives to forecast upcoming trends in nonfiction and scripted television and search for IP and scripts. She also is a producer. Her current project is the American Reality Television Awards.
