About G

Ex-patriate of Texas which really is "a whole other country," former teacher, reporter, and singer. I wrote my first play, a musical, in 1974, and it had a great one-year run in 1978-79. I have written, produced, directed, acted in, and/or sang (and danced- once) in numerous plays. I sang semi-professionally with a women's folk group that featured two of my songs on our first recording. I left the group after six years to work on my second advanced degree. I've been on "Oprah," "Sally," and "PM Magazine," as well on the front page of The Columbus Dispatch because of my comic strip, MS.HIPPS which was published in a dozen newsletters, including one published by MENSA. I've had articles published in two national magazines and written over twenty books that are sold on Amazon Kindle, including my vampire novel, several of my plays, and three of my four screenplays using various pseudonyms. Most of my writing now is language arts curriculum for middle school and high school. Last years I wrote my first screenplay for hire and this year I was paid to edit one adapted from a novel by the author which I also edited. I recently submitted two of my screenplays in Stage 32's recent horror contest. I'm adapting my vampire novel for next year's contest.

Unique traits: I write the music and lyrics for my musicals.
