I am a filmmaker, photographer, and painter, in love with life and the human condition.
Born into humble beginnings in Calcutta, India, if there's one person who's been to the ends of the earth to do what he loves, it's me, who was also one of the children documented in Born Into Brothels, the Oscar-winning documentary by Zana Briski and Ross Kauffman. The documentary's prestigious Kids With Cameras Program helped me follow my dreams and my art, and I've spent four years learning every aspect of filmmaking at New York's Tisch school of the Arts.
After college I worked on many sets of feature films, music videos, documentaries mainly as a DP/AC or grip&Gaffer position in order to strengthen my technical knowledge. At present, I am a freelance cinematographer/ director in New York City getting into interesting projects to expand my horizon.
