Idalina Leandro

Meisner Trained actor and accomplished photographer, Idalina was born in Toronto, Canada, to Portuguese parents, where she studied drama and musical theatre at The Etobicoke School of the Arts in her early years. In her 20's her passion for photography took her to Paris. There she started to work with Charles Weinstein on script writing, directing and acting and her love for cinema was revived. She began to act in several short films and TV and started writing again. In 2005, she went back to London for the third time and was introduced to the Meisner technique where she studied acting with Scott Williams at the Impulse company.

In 2008, Idalina co-founded and became the artistic director of Nightshade Productions, a independent film production company based in London, England. In 2010, Idalina moved to Lisbon, Portugal, where she has continued her company under the name ' a film company' and started production on her first feature documentary film, All She Wrote. She is currently in Canada where she is producing a four part mini documentary series for Bell Local based on the ASW movie called All She Wrote Toronto.
