Jake Dion Gomizelj

I am Jake Gomizelj; In 2016 I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree, majors in Film & Television and English at The University of Queensland. Currently I am seeking internships/career in the film and television/media industry.

I currently freelance as a data wrangler and ingester in order to become a screen editor. I have lent my time to internships at post/production companies around Brisbane and in Cairns, Queensland. The skills I possess in post-prod, are: logging, data managing, assemble editing, ingesting and data wrangling.

I have been working on AVID and have completed ingesting projects which involve RED, A7S, C300, GOPRO and Drone media. I have also involved myself in assembly editing projects and have used audio syncing program PluralEyes and Avid media composer to create cut sequences for editors. I have also obtained skills in Adobe products, such as: Premier Pro, After Effects and Illustrator.

Apart from commercial productions I have involved myself in non-for-profit projects through Hitrecord.org by taking on projects in voice-acting, editing and writing; 'The Movie-Going Experience' is my first success on the site where I concentrated on the opening sequence for the set-up of the project and then provide an assembly edit of interview media for other editors.

I am currently looking for work in the post-production industry and always excited for a new experience.
