MJ has bridged the domain of film and real estate development as a producer, consultant and visionary. As a CEO in media and architectural worlds, he found comfort in the parallels of these fields by macro-managing teams of designers, craft-workers and project managers while maintaining the vision, mission and values of each endeavor.
Lasky has partnered on film development with Tom Laughlin, Malcolm Leo, Frank Capra Jr., Lee Lacy, Julie Corman, Danny Simon, Daniel Mayer Selznick, Robert Watts and other iconic filmmakers. He was a producer with Hall Bartlett, (1983-93) developing projects with top talents such as Sophia Loren, Marlon Brando, Anthony Quinn and with rising stars of the time including Matt Damon, Helen Hunt, and Priscilla Presley. MJ's recent production endeavor (Living Luminaries) showcased notables such as Eckhart Tolle, Geronimo Pratt, Michael Beckwith, Marianne Williamson and Don Miguel Ruiz. Previously Lasky ran the Jonathan Livingston Seagull Company, CinemaZone Studios and founded Mountaintop Productions, Gotham Metro Studios and E4 Studios.
