Writer/Director/Producer/Composer
Ronnie began his professional career in 1972 with three different professional theatre companies in Victoria BC. By the age of twenty he had performed professionally in over thirty productions. He Co-produced and Directed a full-scale production of “West Side Story” at age 21. Ronnie went on to help create two professional Theatre Companies in Vancouver including the Jesse Award winning PI Theatre (then Pink Ink Theatre). He Acted, Directed and Produced Theatre with Pink Ink from 1985-90. During this time one production in which he produced and performed, “Class Enemy” was named “3rd Best Professional Production of the Decade” in 1990 by The Vancouver Sun. He also co-Produced and performed in the hilarious hit comedy, “Bouncers” which was the longest running professional co-op in Vancouver’s history running for 157 shows.
His work in TV and film is as an Actor and a Composer. As an Actor he has appeared in “Wiseguy”, “Dead Man’s Gun”, “First Wave”, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and several others.

Composer
As a Composer Ronnie has created Scores for several Historical Documentaries,
Including “On Guard for Thee” and several TV Movies including “Third Man Out” starring Chad Allen and “Fatal Reunion” starring Erika Eleniak. He has also composed the scores for The 2001 Seamus McNally Award winning MMORPG “Shattered Galaxy” (voted Best Independent Video Game of 2001 at the GDC in San Jose) “Elemental Saga” and “Asgard” for Korean Developer Nexon. He has also composed scores for multiple Commercials.

Writer
As a writer he has created multiple scripts including several short film scripts,
a series of 8 One Act War Historical Dramas for the Canadian Government between 1999-2004 (all of which he produced and Directed), four Documentary film scripts including “On Guard For Thee” (a BC 150 Production for then BC Premier Gordon Campbell) and multiple short Documentary scripts, Historical Narratives as well as a full length Musical. He is currently working on a Television series (3 scripts completed) and a near future adventure trilogy of Screenplays in collaboration with The Embassy VFX in Vancouver.


Singer/Songwriter
Ronnie also spent more than two decades as a singer/songwriter in Vancouver and Los Angeles where he was represented by , (then Manatt, Phelps, Rothenberg and Phillips). During that time he enjoyed two Hit records one in the Top 20 “Strong and Shining Eyes” and one Top 40 ”Tell it to me Straight”. One of his most enduring creations is the Song, The Maples of the Valley/les érables de la vallée. This song is only one of 8 songs in Canada’s history to be translated by the Government as a National Song and is sung on Canada Day and Remembrance Day annually by over 800 choirs across the country.

Currently Ronnie lives in Vancouver with his partner Hilary and enjoys Coaching Soccer on the weekends at Douglas Park Community Centre where he is known as “Coach Ron” to an entire generation of children.
