David Franklin's Reel

A 3 minute mockumentary in the style of a Jacques Costeau nature film, in the search for a mythical animal in the scrublands of Namibia. Shot simultaneously as an in-camera edit on 8mm film for the Straight8 film competition and also on high definition video as presented here.

A parody of 1960's sci-fi B-movies in which two astronomers witness an alien invasion. This short film project came complete with trailers, interviews and fake commentaries for a deluxe DVD package. It was very well received when shown at the FACT Liverpool Film Night in 2007.

Produced by Liverpool-based outfit BOSSfilm the story centres around a man who accidentally brings about world peace with some apocalyptic consequences!

A trailer created for an action-comedy feature film project. Set in 1987 during the midst of a zombie outbreak, a last-action hero attempts to save the day... reluctantly! Shot in an 80's action movie style harking to the glory days of John Carpenter! The trailer was entered into a competition for Total Film magazine and recieved an honorable mention in its pages.

On the 9th October 2009 a mission to discover water beneath the moon's surface brings about a surprising conclusion...
