EVANGELINE is about a young astrologer in Boston, Evangeline Adams, who is met with skepticism and disbelief, so she relocates to New York City to be taken seriously.

An instant hit upon arrival, Evangeline's most loyal Wall St. client, J.P. Morgan, demands exclusivity or else...forcing her to choose between J.P. and his competitors. Unfortunately, Evangeline is soon confronted by Morgan’s rival, Karl Straub, who threatens to expose her as a lesbian.

Shortly thereafter, Evangeline is arrested for "fortune-telling" and now must pay a petty fine or go on trial.

How very interesting! Curious how you came across Evangeline's story, and what about it grabbed you?

Clint Adams

Thanks for the rating, Anthony and Cheryl. Two reasons led me to write about Evangeline: 1) A presumed connection: I was told I was related to her (as it turns out, I was not); 2) Although I knew of her, I don’t write biographies/non-fiction, but when I found out that she was so incredibly successful (1890s-1932) AND she had a female “companion” back then, I was hooked. Her story has historical fiction written all over it.

Sounds intriguing, look forward to hearing more about it & seeing this film when its made.

Hope all's well in London, Ricarda. Thanks for the connection; nice meeting you here.

"I don't write biographies/non-fiction, but when I found out..." Totally get it now!

Clint Adams

Cheryl, I think you can relate to the book's foreword (It's All Relative)...how misunderstanding turned into a tribute. Now, I wouldn't have it any other way. Keep going with GOLDEN -- I wish you the best!!!
