I write screenplays and novels. My author interviews and musings on this and that appear in the HuffPost and elsewhere. My novel, Finding Bluefield, was published in September 2012. Just Making Change, was a Special Mention in the 2012 Table Read My Screenplay. I was raised in New York City, lived in Northampton, MA, and now spend time between Santa Monica and Boston. Have an MFA from UMass Amherst and a BA from Binghamton. Taught college, at-risk youth, was the writer at couple of universities, led community based writing workshops, coached high school varsity baseball, read news on the radio, and was a mediocre short order cook. Finding Bluefield, looking to sell the film rights to my novel Drama Finding Bluefield tells the story of two women who, by seeking love and family, found themselves navigating unknown territory during a time when relationships like theirs were mostly hidden and often dangerous. Set against a background of segregation, MLK march on Washington, JFK election, Woodstock, the South, the moon landing, the Sanctuary Movement, etc. the novel is a personal (not political) story.

Childhood friends and freshman roommates Jonah and David are packing for Thanksgiving break when Sam, Jonah’s girlfriend comes in waving a sexy nightie and promising to join Jonah for a ‘sleep over’. But Jonah never told his Mom about Sam because Sam isn’t Jewish. David is all too happy to elevate the tension which all takes place in the one dorm room.
