About Pyari

Jaya Khoobsurat (JCD) – Independent Filmmaker/Vocal Artist

Jaya has extensive experience in the entertainment industry, including two decades of live acting, the production of her 1998 independent album Coloured Wings and the subsequent decade of live singing performance. Jaya studied through Griffith Film School and the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Screen Production and Music. During her time at Griffith, she was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society. Upon graduating, Jaya decided to focus primarily on filmmaking. She has recently been working in Al Ain, UAE, teaching film to young Emirate women (14 -18 years old students). Her next goal (October 2017) is to visit Vancouver, Canada, to meet other filmmakers and make connections.
