Amy Kelly is a Gullah descendant and the granddaughter of Dr. Peter C. Kelly, III, a prominent doctor and native of Georgetown County, South Carolina. She graduated from Georgia College & State University with a BS in Art & Marketing and went on to earn her MFA in Creative Writing from Full Sail University. She is an award winning freelance screenwriter, ghostwriter, editor, self- published author, and Organizer of The International Gullah Film Festival.
