About Shira

I'm a filmmaker (writer/director), screenwriting teacher (New York Film Academy) and therapist, living in New York City. Recently completed the third short film of my trilogy: UPSIDE DOWN (2014), OLD JUNK (2013) and LAST DAY (2012). I worked in the film business for over ten years, including six years as Martin Scorsese's Director of Development. Was Script Consultant and Associate Producer on two feature films. Two of my screenplays were optioned and in development though never produced.
