About Lizzie

I have been involved in the East Coast independent film scene for over 25 years. I received a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University in Communication and earned a Certificate in Film, Video, and Broadcasting through New York University’s School of Continuing Education.

I was hired by Kevin Smith’s View Askew Productions on a slate of films (A Better Place, Vulgar, Big Helium Dog), filling various crew positions, which included script supervisor, assistant editor, assistant director, and production manager. I was the segment writer of the Communications Episode for the Discovery Channel’s Emmy-winning Greatest Inventions with Bill Nye (Tapestry TV). For several years, I was a partner in Like-Minded Entertainment which produced several award-winning documentaries (The BlueBelles, Snake Hill, What’s So Funny?), short films (First Date After, Thanks, Mom), and a TV pilot (Wit’s End). I co-founded Exit 131 Films, a film cooperative that took advantage of emerging technologies in the early 2000s to help NJ filmmakers shoot their short films on shoe-string budgets.

In 2019, I launched the Screenwriting Academy at Project Write Now, a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization, in Red Bank, NJ. As a creativity coach and development consultant, I use the Gateless Writing methodology to nurture each writer's intuitive gifts and help them reach their highest potential.
