WHO IS JAMES ELLIS? A LITTLE ABOUT ME …

Well, I write comics/ graphic novels, prose novels, children’s books and short stories.

I was born Lee Denzil Jones. I wrote my first fiction at the age of six years old.

For the past two years I’ve been writing scripts for my proposed long running comic book series, ’Modern Days’ ( which is of course what this page is all about ) and I’ve convinced myself it’s either going to be my magnum opus or my most interesting failure. So far I’ve written the scripts for 24 issues.

I finished Vol. 1, ‘Love, Monsters & Exit Wounds’ in December 2011.

I finished Vol. 2, ‘Days Of Midnight’ in December 2012.

And I’m currently writing Vol. 3, ‘Mortal Lives.’

I’ve written a trilogy of prose novels, ‘The Dream Spheres’ aimed at young adults.

I finished the first book, ‘The Mirrored World’ in November 2010 and it’s due to be published in 2015. The second book, ’The Enemies Of Angels’ was finished in June 2012, and the third book, ‘The Lord Of Souls’ in January 2014.

I’ve also written a children’s book, ’The Fairytale Thief’ which I finished in February 2012. It was published on 5th July 2013 and is currently available.

My fifth book ‘The Secret of the Woods’ ( Young Adult ) was finished this year on December 3rd.

I’ve also written a picture book for young children. ‘The Cat & The Brand New Hat,’ which I finished in September 2013.

I also write song lyrics and over past ten years I’ve written 21 collections, which in an odd way tell the story of my life so far up this point.
