Born in Shiraz, Iran at the height of the Iranian Revolution, Ms. Izadi’s parents relocated to Los Angeles shortly thereafter, where she was raised with an emphasis on education and social ettiquette. While she dabbled in theatre early in life and was told by countless junior high counterparts to pursue standup, Ms. Izadi ultimately decided to attend the University of Southern California and persuaded to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering in which she was honored with the IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) Outstanding Young Electrical Engineer Award.
Ms. Izadi rekindled her love of acting after college at various, well-respected acting schools in the Los Angeles area and through sketch comedy and various film projects. It was not until after completing UCLA Anderson’s MBA program that Ms. Izadi realized acting is indeed her true passion in life -- a passion that was evidently not going away despite her constant self-reprimanding. Notwithstanding Samira's financial independence and success, her mother still likes to stick it to her by asking her questions like "is it worth it?" when she hears of Samira's artistic pursuits. But she loves her mom nonetheless. Because Samira is a Saint.
Ms. Izadi is fluent in both English and Farsi. She is a dedicated children’s rights sponsor and activist with an emphasis on education and empowering children worldwide.
