By Pamela Richardson

GENRE: Thriller, Action
LOGLINE:

The self-possessed commercial face of skydiving endures a life-threatening incident that leads him to the edge of self-destruction and ultimately on the path toward redemption.

SYNOPSIS:

Extreme Sports is one of the fastest growing industries on the planet, and skydiving is one of the most popular. This visually stunning, adrenaline-pumping activity generates approximately $390 million in the U.S. alone and has become increasingly accessible to this digital generation. Branded as “the commercial face” of skydiving, OSCAR KRAFT, 39, has tapped into more than his share of those millions, by not only providing the standard skydiving services, but a retail line bearing the Kraft’s Craft logo. His handsome, athletic frame can be seen on TVs across the country inviting thrill seekers to “experience the rush” with Kraft’s Craft Skydiving. Women want him, and men want to be like him.

“Metamorphosis” enters the fascinating world of skydiving through the story of the man at the apex, and his life-threatening fall and journey toward redemption. Oscar’s mother sacrificed all for him, knowing her little “prince” would one day have his “kingdom.” Unfortunately, success and entree have turned Oscar into an ass. His ego is on full display when he meets new jump instructor, ANALISA, 29, an unassuming beauty. First excited to work with the renowned skydiver, she’s unphased by his good looks and even less so by his dismissive attitude. She remains positive and determined to win him over with her talent.

The tide turns when GRADY, a disgruntled, alcoholic ex-pilot unceremoniously fired by Oscar, returns to plead for his job back. Clearly, a drunk is a liability in skydiving, but Oscar is callous in his rejection. Grady vows revenge, a promise he makes good on, turning Oscar’s world on a deadly axis. Adding to the anguish, bitter ex-wife KAT, 38, becomes concerned about spousal and child support for their daughter LILA, 16. Before long, Oscar, having taken so much pride in his appearance, success and prowess with the ladies, loses it all.

“Metamorphosis” takes us through Oscar’s very unique and original fall and journey toward redemption. With unexpected twists, the audience will be riveted to their seats by this highflyer’s tragic struggles and journey toward redemption (his metamorphosis).
