Matteo Mezzetti was born in Modena in 1985.
From a young age he has shown a particular interest in photography and cinema.
In 2000 he began his studies at the institute of art A. Venturi in Modena, where he learnt different photographic techniques.
After graduating in "Visual Communication" he began to approach video production, especially making short films and music videos.
In 2013 he enrolled at the National Academy of Cinema in Bologna, where he had the opportunity to attend classes taught by Mauro Marchetti (Apocalypse Now - 1979 F.Ford Coppola / Last Tango in Paris - 1972 B. Bertolucci / Four Flies on Grey Velvet - 1971 D. Argento) and Rocco Marra (Falchi - 2016 di T. D'Angelo DC col. / Distretto di polizia 5 - 2005 di R. Bava s16mm col. / Romanzo criminale - 2004 di M. Placido 35mm col.)
It was during this period that he became acquainted with cinematography before graduating in 2015 with a diploma in "Direction of Photography".
