Maria Collette Sundeen is a journalist, writer, and filmmaker with a background in television and film production. Her experience includes working as a producer/director for programs airing on CNN, the Sci-Fi Channel, USA Network, and UCTV. She has worked with the Katahdin Foundation, Frame of Mind Films and Habitat Media, which produce award-wining films for PBS and international film festivals.
Maria got her start in TV news and corporate productions, and moved on to produce shorts and documentaries. In 2011 she produced and directed her short, "The Once & Future Bride," which was shown at the Cannes Short Film Corner and the Palm Springs Short Film Marketplace. Her feature scripts have won and placed in multiple film festivals.
In 2020, she produced the short film, “Lola,” and is currently in pre-production for a new artistic short, “Lifeless,” inspired by Poe’s “The Fall of the House of Usher.”
