I am a New York City based writer/producer.
Current Projects In Development:
Based on the award winning games "Godlike" & "Wild Talents" by Dennis Detwiller (co-creator of "Magic The Gathering") - both shows are in development with producers from Netflix's "Umbrella Academy." Both shows take place in a world where parahumans, called TALENTS, begin inexplicably manifesting during WW2. Talents are triggered by emotional, physical or psychic stress and are able to temporarily re-write the laws of physics through sheer will alone. Talents can recognize abilities in others and can cancel those abilities simply by believing more.
The shows are very grounded (no capes, costumes or code names) and deal with the political, social and philosophical ramifications of parahumans in the real world.
GODLIKE: a WW2 set adult animated series with Titmouse Animation
WILD TALENTS: contemporary live action series/film
GRACE BEATS KARMA: THE PERSECUTION & RESTORATION OF NEAL CASSADY: a four episode mini-series based the man who was the "big bang" of the American Counter-Culture. Neal Cassady was a brilliant, complicated man ruled by addictions to speed, jazz and sex. He
not only inspired Jack Kerouac's "On the Road" and Allen Ginsberg's "Howl" during the Beat Generation but had a second wave during the LSD fueled Psychedelic Era of the Merry Pranksters & Electric Kool-Aid Acid Tests.
Cassady's legacy includes countless writers, artists and musicians such as The Grateful Dead, David Bowie and Kurt Cobain.
Where the Road Ends Drama Jack Kerouac’s road across America is an alcohol-soaked, drug-infused, sexually charged superhighway paved with poetry, jazz and love. The Beat Generation icon’s journey of spiritual discovery ultimately ends in heartache and regret. Yet at the end of his tragically short life, one man helps Jack face the torments of his painful childhood, conquer the demons of fame and fortune, and find peace in a lost friendship. For Jack Kerouac, this is WHERE THE ROAD ENDS.
