My composition and sound design entry for the 2016 Marvin Hamlisch Film Score Competition.

I wrote this song during the summer vacation in Paris in a rather traditional chanson style and sung in French, using my full baritone range, accompanied by myself on Piano. It expresses my love and nostalgia for Paris.

An energetic original orchestral work inspired by one of the most preeminent and engineers of the time Isambard Kingdom Brunel and his visionary technological innovation for the railways during the industrial revolution. I found this quote online and have tried to capture this sentiment: "If we must have heroes and wars whereinto make them, there is no war so brilliant as a war with the wrong, no hero so fit to be sung, as he who has gained the bloodless VICTORY of truth and mercy."
