By Richard Encarnacion, Mba, Ph.D.

GENRE: Historical, War
LOGLINE:

At the end of World War 2, America was just devastated. And was now faced with an equally brutal War, Korea. The Korean war was not just South Korea vs North Korea. It was also China Vs South Korea. As the American forces entered the war, to assist South Korea and fight off Chinese soldiers, the USA was pushed back by the Chinese forces.

The Brutal force of the Chinese people republic army almost destroyed all the USA soldiers in Korea and pushed the South Korean army to a breaking point in the process, they were barely holding on. But some unlikely heroes, from a small island in the Caribbean, were called to fight. The regular us soldiers in Korea were fleeing the war or disobeying direct orders and getting court-martialed.

The soldiers of the 65th army regiment, from Puerto Rico, were brought to fight. They were called, The Boriqueeneers. They were sent on a suicide mission to fight back the Chinese, and help South Korea.

SYNOPSIS:

In the 1950s a battalion of soldiers, from the US Army 65th regiment was asked to go on a suicide mission, to help aid soldiers of South Korea. Which were been overturned and gunned down by the Chinese people army and North Korean forces.

Many soldiers from the U.S. regular infantry regiment, became court-martialed due to the overwhelming force from the Chinese people army, and North Korea as they abandoned posts, or disobeyed orders.

The mission was simple, fight back the Chinese and keep the North Koreans from taking over all of Korea.

But sometimes, the mission sounds a lot simpler than it truly was.

This was no ordinary war, this war was lost to the history of time. Because the heroes of this war, were not the likely soldiers, that America has in films, radios, and posters.

This was a lost war.

But just like World War 2, this war intensity; almost became World War 3.

The heroes of this war were the Puerto Rican soldiers. Which were cast as second-class citizens, even from their own commander.

In the last days of the war, you even heard rumors. From the Chinese soldiers on the field "These soldiers are warriors, who fought with honor'. - Chinese

The American soldier underestimated the Chinese fighters, but not the Puerto Rican soldiers. The Puerto Rican soldiers even had respect, for the Chinese soldiers and considered them very intelligent.

The Chinese soldiers, had the Puerto Rican battalion outnumbered four to one, but the fighting spirit of the Puerto Rican soldiers and warrior-like ethos. Pushed back the overwhelming force of the Chinese, and helped South Korea create its own independence.
