About Sahar

Sahar Khadjenoury produced her first Public Service Announcement to address environmental dangers of improper natural resource extraction on her Reservation on the Northern Navajo Nation. She started as theatrical actress in the Native American theatre and performing arts community and served as the Artistic Director of the Intertribal Theatre Project where Navajo mythology came to life on stage where she traveled with the touring group for 3 years while attending Fort Lewis College, then to Arizona State University to study Theatre.

While attending ASU she signed with Ford Models (RBA) as female talent and booked her first commercial for an Anti-Tobacco ad campaign. Since then she has appeared in numerous Magazines, Music Videos, Commercials, and as a Red Carpet Correspondent. Later, she made her move into Film and Television for both Indigenous and Non Indigenous production companies working both in front and behind the camera as a Producer. She embraces both her Navajo and Persian heritage as reflected in media companies and projects she has worked with.

After living in Los Angeles, China, Philippines, and Arizona and traveling though-out Asia for her career; she returned to school at the University of Utah where she completed her Bachelors of Fine Art in Film and Media Studies where she studied and worked for Frontier Education in Genova, Italy for the study abroad program instructing Video Production as the Directors Assistant.

After she obtained her Film degree, she started working immediately as Associate Producer for clients such Adobe and Microsoft. She also took that time establish herself with a Public Relations Firm. She made her move back to Southern California to work for First Nations Experience TV for two years and that given her the opportunity to reach more of her Native American community and to continue her work as a producer and to serve as the Liaison between the many worlds that are comprised of Tribal Governments, FNX TV, the parent station KVCR, the community of both Native and non-Natives, PBS, and educational entities.
