About Miles

Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan-born Miles Meili came to acting relatively late in life, landing his first role on the cooking show Red Hot and Ready at the age of thirty. He studied with John Dunsworth of Trailer Park Boys fame and subsequently appeared on that program himself. A lifelong traveler, Miles has lived in Europe, Central America and Asia, working extensively in film, television, voice, and theatre in Seoul, South Korea for a decade. He has an ear for languages and accents and speaks Spanish, French, and basic Korean. He played the role of Father Holland, an Australian priest, in Larry Smith's Trafficker, shot in Bangkok, Thailand. His last theatrical role before leaving Seoul for Toronto was that of Marcus Andronicus in Seoul Shakespeare Company's Titus Andronicus. Miles’ keen textual analysis … brought a depth to his character of Marcus Andronicus that I’ve never witnessed before.
…generous in ways that raised the level of trust, morale, and artistic integrity of everyone he worked with.
-Raymond Salcedo, Seoul Shakespeare Company

… working with an actor who has this type of intuition allows me to focus more on other aspects of the production.
Basically, he delivers.
-William Sonbuchner, Sonny Side Films

… possesses a strong sense of comic timing…
… not a speckle of arrogance in his demeanor… and possesses one trait I deeply admire above all others in any actor: empathy.
-Raoul Dysell, Roll the Dice Pictures

Miles has a great grasp on character development and the actor’s process.
… a great guy and super easy to work with – even in the toughest of circumstances.
-David No, Furious Films

Not only does he bring craft and talent, but he is a tremendous resource and a team player.
Working with Miles is like having a great dance partner.
-Kevin Lambert, Build by Flying Films

… a hardworking, dedicated, spirited and fearless actor.
To quote Doc Aurelius Hogue, you would be a “bovine, clod-pated, citified moron if you didn’t hire him on the spot.”
