Yermi Kurkus was born and raised in Montreal, Canada, and was exposed to a strong multi-cultural presence that exists in that city. Growing up, Yermi grew a strong love for humanity and has always been disturbed by injustices across the spectrum. Yermi is in the middle of writing a book for his Doctoral thesis named "Human-ity: The Human in Humanity" which discusses and explores how tolerance is the key ingredient to a better and kinder future.
Yermi holds a MA in Psychology with a major in Media/Entertainment Psychology. He has produced an 18-min short film called "The Unmarried Widow" and has been exploring writing treatments all with strong messages. Yermi's mission with MORAL Entertainment is to produce high-quality, mainstream movies, that have strong and powerful messages. The vision is that people can still enjoy a 120-minute feature, full of action, drama, comedy, etc. yet still, walk away with a life-lesson or message that will stick to them for life.
