Named a Cannes MIPTV2020 Producer to Watch, Peruvian-American Donna Wheeler is writer, director and executive producer of female/diversity-centered projects that include documentary series GOD?, streaming series COUPLETS, shorts THE GIRL NEX DOOR, TUPPERWARE WOMAN, MIND'S EYE, POCOCURANTE, FUEGO, DON'T TELL MAMA, and the multi-award winning family comedy feature DEATH OF A SALESWOMAN, screening at U.S., Canadian, EU festivals and selling internationally at Cannes to SVOD/streaming platforms. Her latest project in development is the MIPTV In Development Finalist Drama Series, CLASH, which is also being developed as a feature.

She is an AWD's Career Advancement Program Fellow, Industry Support and AWD Directing Shadow, and Outfest Directing Shadow. Her original screenplays have been Academy Nicholl Fellowship semi/quarter Finalists, Sundance Lab Finalists, IFP No Borders selects, Slamdance Lab selects, Austin 2nd Rounder, and DTLA Best Screenplay award winners.

Donna focuses on diversity, Latinx and female-focused series, features and short content. She also has a background in documentary production and post, for directors that include Stanley Nelson, Lisa Leeman, Michèle Ohayon, Nick Broomfield. Her post production management includes Polygram/Disney, AandE, History Channel, Paramount, Discovery, and PBS. She is a also a sponsored 501c3 film and digital artist.
