An Iranian native, Shari Vasseghi moved to the States during the 444 days of Iranian Hostage Crisis. With a degree in Electrical Engineering from Fresno State University, Shari has given her Persian parents something substantial to brag about. She also has over ten years of experience in Stand-up comedy which neither parent cares to brag about. Shari loves creating flawed comedic characters and has made it her mission to create strong Persian American female leads so audiences can fall in love with her Middle Eastern characters. When Shari’s not journeying with her characters on paper, she’s playing them in front of the camera. As a paralegal in Los Angeles, Shari continues to find creative ways to keep her pulse beating at her day job. Shari's mission is to help end the “blanket judgment” against Middle Easterners and inspire a better world.
