I've lived most of my adult life outside of the US (Colombia, Chile, El Salvador, Spain and Germany -- twice). During those years I was US Foreign Service Officer stationed as US diplomatic missions and was involved in many world events that took place between the end of the Vietnam War and start of the War on Terrorism. I'm now in Southern California and on to other careers. My passion is to tell stories about the life of diplomats, spies, politicians, expats and the countries that they live in. There are many films and TV shows about international politics and diplomacy but the reality is so much more complex, dangerous and, at times, interesting that what is presented on screen. My goal is to add a different perspective that captures more of the adventure and excitement of what it is to live in other countries during interesting times. Screenwriting is a new and demanding medium for me and I have been learning (classes and lots of hour with a script coach) how to tell the stories in ways that will keep readers and audiences engaged.
