I'm working with group of female filmmakers have teamed up to create the unique short film POLLY which tackles the dark truth of how societal and cultural pressure can push young people to the edge. As women in this industry, pursuing producing, screenwriting & directing, there's a lot we want to drive forward and change. Hi, I'm financing a short film called POLLY with a group of female filmmakers from London who have come together to create a story that will explore the pressures of societal femininity and how young people are able to combat this.This exciting new project promotes self-beauty, self-acceptance and self-worth, rejecting stereotypes of beauty and celebrating diversity. Also as a team of women, we're fighting to break into and change a male dominated industry. Our hope is to partner with companies (think Dove, Always, Simple, etc.) which can sponsor/support us. Hello! I'm new to Stage 32, and I'm writer/director. My debut play as just a playwright opens in London in a few weeks. Hey! I'm Cassiah, an actor/writer/director. I'm all about female focused character and stories, and my young look means acting-wise I've always got to play children/teens. I've got my London play debuting in September at the Greenwich Theatre, and a few commissions on the doodle, and some projects coming into the light! (Hopefully!)
