Phil Cawley

After studying Photography for 3 years at Mid Cheshire College in Northwich, my first proper introduction to the commercial side of photography was working as part of the team in a Manchester studio, which specialized in room sets. A fast paced environment where quality was paramount.

In order to soak up more knowledge & experience I made the decision to become one of the first freelance assistants in Manchester working with some great photographers. It was then a natural transition to Photographer working for my own clients.

A special moment I remember very well was opening the letter to inform me that one of my images had been selected for the Benson & Hedges Awards exhibition.
Since then my images have been selected for many other awards, but it’s always the first that stands out!

I have now worked from my studio base in Manchester for over 20 years & I still get a buzz from it!
