Hi my name is Jamie, I trained as an actor with Cap-A-Pie in 2001. From there I performed at Newcastle Playhouse,Stanley Civic Hall and other venues, in a play called Base Jump. During my Cap-A-Pie training, in a play at Newcastle Playhouse I caught the eye of a BBC talent-spotter, and was asked to go for audition. I was successful at the audition and got the role working in a documentary with the director Paul McGuiggan. The documentary was called Little Angels and it lasted for about 3 /5 months on and off. When the documentary was finished I got a job as a welder, but my dream is to continue acting. I am well known for being like a comedian, I can make people laugh. I have the ability to do any facial expression and to make people laugh when doing this. I also have the ability to make myself cry if needed. Plus, I can change my voice and act in a completely different character. I would think that I am a good actor. The people that trained me said I was a “diamond in the rough” as at the time I was maybe a bit big headed with me being still young and getting a part working for the BBC. I just hope someone will give me a chance to prove myself. I can get references from Cap-A-Pie if required.
