I started Jaye Bird Productions in 2008. Our first film was a feature documentary called "Daddy I Do" that I directed, produced and edited. It won the award for Best Documentary at the 2010 Cannes Independent Film Festival. Then I directed and edited a short documentary called "Faces Overlooked" which won second prize in a national film competition called "Faces of Hunger in America". My latest film is a feature documentary called "The Right to Love: An American Family" that premiered at the Castro Theatre in February 2012, and that film just won 4 Telly Awards, one of the awards was a Silver Telly (top honor) for Social Issues Film. Now I'm looking to direct my first short narrative (scripted) film, and so I'm looking for screenwriters and others to collaborate with if anyone's interested!
