Mehdi Barakchian

Born and raised in NYC, Mehdi has studied sketch and improv at the UCB and the Peoples Improv Theater. You can catch him performing at Carolines on Broadway, The UCB Theater, and The Peoples Improv Theater and festivals like Comedy Central’s NY Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Arts Festival, Unscripted NY, and NYC Improv Festival.

Mehdi is Co-Host/Producer/Writer on NY Times and Time Out NY acclaimed Late-Night Talk Show "Brunch Night! with Jamie LeeLo" (Carolines on Broadway, Comedy Central’s NY Comedy Festival). In addition to teaching classes at The Peoples Improv Theater, you can catch him performing weekly with PIT Improv House Team “Hero Complex.” Most recently, he helped develop and acts as producer for UCB Comedy’s Live Theater show "UCB Comedy Live!" in NY. He is also a proud member of UCB Comedy Digital Team “Frohnson & Frohnson.” He regularly performs improv and sketch with his indie teams "Bueller" and "Kibbles and Bits." If you do the TV stuff you can currently catch him on CBS’ Hidden Heroes on Saturdays at 11am EST. Mehdi hopes to one day own a fridge that makes its own ice.
