During the pandemic, Brandon and his writing part met virtually everyday at 10am to write. After having multiple pilots in the can, they decided to film one of them. In May 2021, Brandon his writing partner produced and write a comedic pilot called Ghost Army. Ghost Army is based on the true story of a World War II tactical deception team made up of artists, advertisers, writers, and other “creative types” who don’t fit the mold of the traditional American soldier so they use their artistic abilities to fight a war with brushes and paint instead of bullets and pain.
Brandon and his partner assembled a cast and crew of 50+, raised a budget of 100k (and put some money on their own credit cards) and filmed Ghost Army over three days on Memorial Day Weekend in the 100+ degree desert heat of Needles, California.
The pilot debuted in October 2021 and is currently on the festival circuit. Brandon is hopeful the pilot will get in the hands and on the eyes of those in the industry intrigued by this story!
