Lizzy Rain

I am a singer/songwriter/pianist/record label owner based in Minneapolis, MN. You may ask "why Minneapolis? Isn't it really cold there in the winter?" Well, yes it is, but 1) it's home and has always been 2) it's got a great music scene because we musicians have nothing to do in the winter months but play our hearts out, thus perfecting our craft 3) it's clean and beautiful, with shouts out to our chain of Minneapolis lakes and the stupendously beautiful North Shore.

I am a classically trained pianist turned pop/orchestral rock composer. I got a late start in the music business due to life circumstances but was finally able to release my first full length LP "Tiny Light" in 2008, recorded with Todd Fitzgerald at Winterland Studios. I was ecstatic at the response. I released my second full length LP "Gypsy Heart" in 2009, also with Todd, and interest grew. It was very gratifying. Then both of my parents got sick. It fell to me to be their primary caretaker and coordinate the various eases of their suffering while they wasted away from cancer and Alzheimers Disease, respectively. I am only including this in my bio because I understand what it is to go to the dark side and finally, after accepting what it is, to come back into the light.

My new record "High Tide" will be available in November.. It is currently in the mixing phase. I have chosen to release "Any Fine Sunday" as a single and have plans made for a video. When I have release dates I will post them.
