Born and raised in Mississippi, my passion for writing began as early as 13 years old, nearly two years after my mother succumbed to cancer. For me, writing was a portal for emotional healing, and I continued to write plays and short stories well into my twenties.
In 2006, I won an award for best short story fiction and in the following year, I was awarded the Unpublished Writer’s Award by Go On Girl Book Club.
I am a former English, Science, and Special Ed educator, and have taught several fiction and nonfiction writing courses for 6-12 grade students, having enjoyed helping my students reveal their creative minds through words to the world.
The Millennium is my first screenplay, which I began as an assignment several years ago for a college scriptwriting course. Since that time, The Millennium has undergone numerous transformations and is now ready to be unveiled in a major, epical way.
The Millennium Budget: $1M - $5M | Fantasy ⋄ Adventure Jesus, the Savior of the world, and his army of warrior angels struggle against his Father’s will for mankind and the responsibility of saving humanity again from an eternal enemy, Lucifer, and his own demon army in the New World.
