I’m a London-based actor, writer and voice artist with a playing age of late 40s/early 50s, a natural RP accent, and a heap of recent experience playing in front of camera - which has been a blast. I’ve worked with so many great young filmmakers and so much talent, and it’s been a joyful way for me, at very long last, to get as enthusiastic about performing in film as I’ve always felt about the voice studio and on stage.
I earn most of my living in the corporate world, often playing kickass scary senior managers in Forum Theatre pieces and roleplays, in order to put real people-in-suits through their paces as leaders and communicators - muuuuch more fun than it sounds: you’re constantly thinking on your feet and using theatre to make small but important changes in the way people feel about themselves and their working relationships, as well as (usually) getting them to laugh and creating a big buzz in a dull old business meeting room or conference hall.
I also teach at Amanda Redman’s Artists Theatre School in Ealing, and coach individual drama school auditionees as well as individual businesspeople who want help with presentations.
And I’m an avid member of the WSW London Branch of Equity, which is a career-developing, camaraderie-enjoying, life-affirming experience and one I’d recommend to any actor within reasonable distance: join us!
