The short film Toby Younis and I have written and will soon produce has been deemed to be one of the top 3 finalists in the New Mexico Women in Film screenwriting competition. This excerpt is from the New Mexico Women in Film January Newsletter: ANNOUNCING: 'The Woman in the Story' Screenplay Competition FINALISTS Congratulations to our 3 finalists: Caitlyn Frost, 'The Writer's Room' Clayton Gorman, 'The Goldfish' and Toby Younis and Shelley Carney, 'Scratching Kat' These top 3 scripts will be sent to British screenwriter, Dr Helen Jacey, who will choose the winning screenplay. The winner will be announced in March. In addition to $1000 cash prize and the Athena Award for Screenwriting, NMWIF will present the winner a professional table reading at our April event. The 2 runners-up will also receive gifts.
