Ben Pickett

I graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder this May with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Theory and Criticism as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production. For my classes, I aimed to focus as much as possible on the post-production process and have worked extensively with the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects. I am also proficient in Avid Media Composer and Protools. In addition to attending school full-time, I worked for the Housing and Dining Services at the University creating animations in After Effects to advertise different events around campus.
Aside from my formal education, I have freelanced as a videographer and editor and worked many commissioned projects including work for clients such as the City of Boulder and Kid Robot. I interned in Los Angeles at ContagiousLA, a Santa Monica-based production company, as an in-office intern and production assistant. This provided valuable exposure to the industry and experience on professional sets and shooting on location. This internship also allowed me to work with industry leading companies such as Carharrt and Mercedes Benz.
