Stereotypical career "copywriter with two screenplays in the bottom drawer." I write every day, all day for clients and have managed to find enough time at last to fine-tune one of those two screenplays into ready-to-produce shape.
Trained for the stage at an early age, I've been in several community theater productions, so I have an easier time than most writers with dialog that works.
I participate in a screenwriter's group and other industry gatherings here in San Diego, which I've found very helpful in crafting my script. I am focused now on selling this one and moving on to a rewrite of the next.
This one deals with something that I have had a lot of personal experience with and that most people only wish they had. I'll save any further description for actual query letters to and inquiries from interested parties.
Meanwhile, a few local San Diego filmmakers have been using me in bit parts and for BG work. I'll try to get around to mentioning them here in Stage 32 one of these days.
