About Alex
It is often said that after silence, music comes closest to expressing that which is inexpressible.
My music lends itself to soundscapes for film, video and dance. It tends to defy classification, but has been categorized in the genre of ‘trans-classical’. I am a multi-instrumentalist incorporating orchestral elements, especially strings, with piano, bass and guitar. I specialize in complex harmonies with the occasional odd meter. My music is crafted to enhance the emotional impact for film and visual presentations.
In 1992 I released my first CD — Within the Heart.
In 2011, I released my second CD — Dose of Infinity
In 2015, I released my third CD — The Beautiful, of which the title cut was used in the film, Amazed by You

In 2018, I took on the role of Executive Producer and composer of OTRO LADO (Other Side), in collaboration with Philip Sedgwick, screenwriter. Otro Lado is a short, evocative film set at the US - Mexico border. The film is currently in the festival circuit and so far has received three laurels: Melbourne, AUS; Laughlin, NV; and Sunscreen, Manhattan Beach, CA.
