About Chas

I'm an Alabama screenwriter who has dreamed of working in film since I was 12 and had practically zero opportunity until the Internet exploded. I've done background work in Atlanta, GA for some set experience; working on shows and films like The Originals, The Detour, Miracles From Heaven, Containment, and Tyler Perry's If Loving You Is Wrong to name a few. I've also done PA work on several local projects in Alabama. I write features and shorts, predominantly comedy and drama, but have started on a horror to step outside of my comfort zone. I'm also currently revising a feature drama. A short comedy I wrote entitled Called In was chosen and filmed by SCAD students in Atlanta, GA in July, 2015. The script that I'm currently pushing is my "baby", the 1st script I completed several years ago, Happy Holidays. I initially was able to get interest in the script by sending queries to countless independent companies. There were problems with the script though, and through submitting to reputable competitions like BlueCat, I was able to identify the most prominent issues and revise to its current draft. Since then, the script has placed in several competitions, including London.
