Sara Stiffler

Writing and photography are my passions.

After working in the entertainment business for more than 15 years (12 of those at Warner Bros.), I left Los Angeles to work a summer job in the ghost town of Bodie, California (population 16). That was just the pivot I needed to refresh my creative spirit.

Since the pandemic, I have written a family screenplay inspired by my time in Bodie. I have also created several photo books and edited a video using photos I have taken in Bodie, Southern Mississippi, and during my travels across the country

I started writing short stories when I was kid. From there I moved on to spec TV and screenplays. Right now I'm working on my next screenplay and writing my first novel.

In addition to my own writing, I have taught screenwriting, worked as a writing consultant, and have judged films and screenplays for screenwriting competitions.
