About Raymond

Raymond studied film and creative writing (focusing on genre screenplays) at U.C. Berkeley before serving in the Marine Corps as an officer during Desert Storm. Afterwords, his path led to the New Orleans, where he studied law at Tulane University. He became a litigator and practiced as a corporate defense attorney and trial lawyer for more than ten years before a serious sports injury and a bout in the ICU caused him to re-evaluate his career. After a year spent rehabbing at altitude in Tahoe, he moved to southern California to return to his true passion and pursue a career in entertainment. After earning an L.LM in Entertainment Law, he spent five years working as a motion picture project attorney for Paramount Pictures, before becoming a business/legal affairs exec. for Netflix. He also began writing genre screenplays again, and his first three efforts have garnered a number of wins and high placements at festivals and in competition. He lives in Pasadena with his wife, Helena, and their two cats, Ghost and Nym.
